My fascination with the natural world began early. I have always been captivated by animals and Earth's stunning landscapes, with plants becoming a later addition to my ever-growing list of healthy obsessions.

Since moving to Australia from Germany in 2015, I have been living and working in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia with my wife and a menagerie of rescue animals.

After a 15-year detour working in advertising and event production, I now wear several hats in the environmental industry. Through both my professional and personal lives, I do my best to protect the places and species that continue to inspire me.

Somewhere along the way, I picked up a camera as a way to preserve those fascinating moments in nature and share them with others. What started as snapshots soon evolved into a more artistic endeavour.

Every image on this site carries a story behind it, a brief moment I felt was worth holding onto.

Now more than ever, it is critical to strengthen the connection to nature that we humans rely on to live happily and healthily. I'm hoping that my photographs can offer a small space to pause and reflect on the fragile beauty around us, and inspire others to seek out those moments and places for themselves. People who have formed their own special connection to a place, a plant or an animal are much more likely to care and take responsibility for its protection. I hope I can play a small part in building a community that cares about this planet's future and the amazing variety of life it holds.
